As America  begins the Gulf War August 2, 1990, a high school junior tries to go on with his life.  But parties, work, school, parents, his friends’ angst all take on a bizarre tinge in the face of America’s carpet bombing of Baghdad.  After a friend brings a gun to school, the junior flees to his car, planning never to stop. He travels down highways, joining millions of headlights which he imagines as souls fleeing the war and its consequences.
